Nijisanji EN went from three fairy tale girls streaming to a couple thousand viewers, to a Twitter conquering juggernaut, to one of the messiest breakup sagas in VTuber history, all in about four years! If you have been trying to keep track of the Nijisanji EN members without a scorecard, congrats, we built you the scorecard.

This branch has debuted more than forty English talents since 2021, waved goodbye to a genuinely shocking number of them, and still fields one of the deepest lineups in all of Western VTubing. We will walk you through every single wave in order, who is still live right now, who graduated or got terminated, and the past life gossip that keeps this fandom up way too late. Grab a drink, because this family tree has changed a lot more than you remember. Maybe you found these talents through a viral clip, a fan animation, or a friend who would not stop posting about them. Either way, this is the full map, so you can finally figure out who is who and who is still around.

What Nijisanji EN Actually Is

Nijisanji is the massive VTuber agency run by ANYCOLOR out of Japan, and it has been a giant back home for years. If you want the origin story of the mothership, we broke it all down in our Nijisanji Project guide. Nijisanji EN is the English speaking branch, and it launched in 2021 to go head to head with Hololive English for the Western audience.

The whole thing runs on “waves.” Instead of debuting talents one at a time, the agency drops a small themed group all at once, hands them matching lore, and lets them cross promote each other from day one. Every Nijisanji EN vtuber gets a Live2D model, a character concept, and a spot in a wave that becomes part of their identity forever. It is a smart system, and it is a big reason the branch built hype so fast.

As of mid 2026, there are around 30 active Nijisanji EN members still streaming, spread across eleven waves. That number used to be way higher, and we will absolutely get to why, because the drops have been brutal.

Every One of the Nijisanji EN Waves in Order

Before we go person by person, here is the quick map of all the Nijisanji EN waves and when they landed:

  • LazuLight (May 2021): the debut trio
  • OBSYDIA (July 2021): the dark counterpart
  • Ethyria (October 2021): heaven and hell themed
  • Luxiem (December 2021): the boy wave that broke the internet
  • Noctyx (January 2022): Luxiem’s moody cousins
  • ILUNA (July 2022): the first mixed gender wave
  • XSOLEIL (December 2022): the sun themed crew
  • Krisis (June 2023): superheroes with floating sidekicks
  • TTT (October 2023): the chaotic three
  • Denauth (May 2024): the manor mystery wave
  • BY THE BEAT (March 2025): the all male music unit

Now let us meet the people inside each one.

The First Nijisanji Members: LazuLight, OBSYDIA, and Ethyria

LazuLight kicked everything off in May 2021 with three girls: Elira Pendora, Finana Ryugu, and Pomu Rainpuff. Elira is the dependable dragon big sis, Finana is the chaotic mermaid with absolutely zero filter, and Pomu was the fairy everyone adored. These three were the original Nijisanji members on the English side, and they carried the entire branch on their backs in those early months. Finana has one of the most fun backstories in the group, and we tracked down her past life and face reveal here.

OBSYDIA followed in July 2021 as the darker flip side: Petra Gurin the penguin idol, Rosemi Lovelock the clumsy rose, and Selen Tatsuki the gremlin dragon gamer. Selen exploded in popularity crazy fast, which makes what happened to her later sting even more. Hold that thought.

Then came Ethyria in October 2021, a heaven and hell themed group of four: Nina Kosaka, Millie Parfait, Enna Alouette, and Reimu Endou. Millie the fairy and Enna the songbird became two of the most beloved voices on the whole roster. Enna’s vocals alone are worth the subscribe, no notes.

The Boy Waves: Luxiem and Noctyx

Here is where Nijisanji EN went absolutely nuclear. Luxiem debuted in December 2021 with five guys: Vox Akuma, Mysta Rias, Ike Eveland, Luca Kaneshiro, and Shu Yamino. This wave did not just do well, it detonated. Vox became one of the biggest male VTubers on the entire planet almost overnight, and his eventual face reveal was a full blown event. We covered Vox Akuma’s face reveal and past life if you want the whole story.

Luca the lovable mafia golden retriever, Shu the mage, Ike the librarian, and Mysta the detective rounded out a group that pulled in an enormous international fanbase, a huge chunk of it from overseas. These five basically rewrote what a Western male VTuber debut could look like.

Vox’s debut stream, “BACK FROM THE DEAD,” is where the global phenomenon started.

Noctyx arrived in January 2022 as the moodier follow up, with four members: Sonny Brisko, Uki Violeta, Fulgur Ovid, and Alban Knox. Sonny built a fiercely loyal audience with his chill late night energy, and Uki became a fan favorite for bringing warmth and chaos in equal parts. Alban served the unhinged variety streamer vibe, and Fulgur had one of the most creative characters in the branch before his exit.

Between Luxiem and Noctyx, Nijisanji EN proved that Western male VTubers could pull numbers just as huge as the girls, and the fandom energy around these two waves was unreal for a solid stretch. Concerts, merch drops, birthday celebrations, all of it.

The Mixed Nijisanji EN Waves: ILUNA, XSOLEIL, Krisis, TTT, and Denauth

Starting in 2022, the branch switched to mixed gender waves, and this is where the roster really balloons.

ILUNA (July 2022) was the first mixed wave, themed around the moon: Kyo Kaneko, Aster Arcadia, Aia Amare, Maria Marionette, Scarle Yonaguni, and Ren Zotto. Maria the doll and Scarle became instant standouts.

XSOLEIL (December 2022) was the sun themed counterpart: Doppio Dropscythe, Meloco Kyoran, Zaion LanZa, Hex Haywire, Kotoka Torahime, and Ver Vermillion. Meloco shot up to become one of the most popular girls in the whole branch practically overnight.

Krisis (June 2023) leaned hard into a superhero concept, with each member carrying a floating companion: Vezalius Bandage, Vantacrow Bringer, and Yu Q. Wilson. Vezalius flexing fluency in Japanese, French, and English gave the wave a genuinely global flavor.

TTT (October 2023) brought in three more: Claude Clawmark, Kunai Nakasato, and Victoria Brightshield. Chaotic energy, immediately, exactly as advertised.

Denauth (May 2024) is the manor mystery wave, built on the idea that Ryoma and Klara got hired to work at Twisty’s spooky mansion: Ryoma Barrenwort, Twisty Amanozako, and Klara Charmwood. Twisty had fans hunting for a past life the second she debuted.

The Newest Nijisanji EN VTuber Wave: BY THE BEAT

The freshest faces belong to BY THE BEAT, the eleventh wave, which debuted on March 15, 2025 as an all male music unit. This crew runs on a live house concept, and each member plays a role in the venue: Zeal Ginjoka, Freodore, Seible, and Kaelix Debonair slot in as bartender, designer, promoter, and bouncer. They launched with an original debut single called “Satellite,” and they were not messing around with the music angle either. In 2026 the unit signed with Universal Music’s Virgin Music label, which is a genuinely big swing for a VTuber group and a sign of where the branch wants to steer its newer talents. If you have not checked them out yet, they are the easiest current entry point into Nijisanji EN.

Here is their official debut single “Satellite,” the best possible first taste of the unit:

The Graduations That Gutted the Roster

Okay, this is the part that hurts, so brace yourself. Nijisanji EN has lost a stunning number of talents, and the run from 2023 through 2025 was rough.

The first big shock came with Zaion LanZa, who was terminated in 2023 not long after her XSOLEIL debut. Later that same year, two beloved early members walked: Nina Kosaka graduated in July 2023, and Mysta Rias followed with his graduation on August 27, 2023, taking one fifth of the mighty Luxiem with him. Fans were already reeling before things got so much worse.

Then 2024 landed two gut punches back to back. Pomu Rainpuff graduated on January 20, 2024, which broke a lot of hearts since she was an original LazuLight member. Here is the official announcement fans woke up to:

Official graduation notice from @NIJISANJI_World. Just weeks later, in February 2024, Selen Tatsuki was terminated, and she came out swinging with allegations about a toxic environment behind the scenes. That whole saga dominated VTuber news for months and did real damage to the branch’s reputation. If you only remember one Nijisanji EN story, it is probably that one.

The exits kept coming through 2025 too. Ike Eveland graduated on April 30, 2025, thinning Luxiem even further. Fulgur Ovid graduated on May 5, 2025, and Kotoka Torahime followed on May 28. Twisty Amanozako was terminated in June 2025, barely a year after her Denauth debut. The agency then separated from Aster Arcadia in July 2025 after a long unexplained absence. Reimu Endou said goodbye on August 17, 2025, and Rosemi Lovelock graduated at the end of August 2025 as well. On top of all that, Kyo Kaneko, Hex Haywire, Kunai Nakasato, and Victoria Brightshield are also gone.

If your favorite from 2021 or 2022 is missing from the active list, this is almost certainly why. The roster today is leaner, and a lot of it leans on the survivors from Luxiem, Noctyx, and the newer waves to keep things running.

The fallout was never just about the raw numbers either. Fan trust took a serious hit, viewership on several channels dropped hard, and plenty of longtime supporters moved on to other agencies or followed their favorites into indie life. The branch has been slowly rebuilding since, leaning on Krisis, TTT, Denauth, and now BY THE BEAT to bring in fresh faces while the veterans who stayed hold the fort. It is a very different Nijisanji EN than the one that took over Twitter in 2021 and 2022, but the core is still very much alive.

Nijisanji EN Past Life Rabbit Holes

Half the fun of following any big agency is the past life detective work, and the Nijisanji EN past life scene is one of the most active out there. Almost every talent had a life before the model, whether that was indie streaming, voice acting, art commissions, or another agency entirely.

Some connections are basically fan consensus at this point. The community loves tracing voice matches, art style tells, and old social accounts to figure out who was who before their debut. When a member graduates, the speculation cranks up even higher, because a lot of them return to the internet under a new indie name and the “wait, is that them?” threads write themselves within hours.

We keep individual breakdowns for the talents fans search most, like Finana, Vox, and Twisty, so if a specific Nijisanji EN vtuber has you curious, go check those out. The short version? Yes, most of these past life rumors have real legs, and this fandom is scary good at connecting the dots.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Nijisanji EN members are there right now?

As of mid 2026, there are around 30 active Nijisanji EN members still streaming across eleven waves. That count shifts often thanks to the steady stream of graduations, so it is always worth double checking the current lineup before you get attached.

What are all the Nijisanji EN waves in order?

The Nijisanji EN waves in order are LazuLight, OBSYDIA, Ethyria, Luxiem, Noctyx, ILUNA, XSOLEIL, Krisis, TTT, Denauth, and BY THE BEAT. LazuLight started it all in May 2021, and BY THE BEAT is the newest wave, having debuted in March 2025.

Who was the first Nijisanji EN member?

There was not a single first member. LazuLight debuted together in May 2021 as the very first wave, which means Elira Pendora, Finana Ryugu, and Pomu Rainpuff all launched at the same time as the founding trio.

Why did so many Nijisanji members graduate?

A mix of things. Some talents chose to move on, some contracts simply ended, and a few were terminated outright. Nina Kosaka and Mysta Rias graduated back in 2023, the Selen Tatsuki termination in February 2024 kicked off a much rougher stretch, and a wave of graduations rolled through 2025 that thinned the roster in a big way.

Who is the most popular Nijisanji EN vtuber?

Vox Akuma from Luxiem is usually the first name that comes up, since he became a global phenomenon right after debut. Enna, Luca, Shu, Sonny, and Meloco all have massive followings too, so it depends on who you ask!

Do Nijisanji EN members have past lives?

Yes, almost all of them streamed, sang, voice acted, or made art under different names before joining. The Nijisanji EN past life hunt is a whole hobby for fans, and the community has already connected most of the dots.

There you have it, the full Nijisanji EN family tree, every wave and every heartbreak included. It is a lineup that has seen incredible highs and some genuinely painful goodbyes, but the talents still standing keep the branch worth watching.
